For more than twenty years the Cypress Inn has been jointly owned by Doris Day, Dennis LeVett and Terry Melcher.

Doris Day got her start as a big band singer and within a few years became a leading lady in Hollywood. As a number one box office attraction she co-starred with such greats as Cary Grant, Clark Gable, Frank Sinatra, James Cagney, Rock Hudson, James Stewart and Ronald Reagan.

Ms. Day now lives in Carmel Valley where she looks after her personal pets and the Doris Day Animal Foundation. www.ddaf.org.
